Get your project ready
You are impatient, you want to see your project online. You have thoroughly prepared your campaign and you want it to succeed, right? There are only a few questions left that you should ask yourself before allowing the project to be online and accessible to everybody...
Have you taken the time to analyse other similar crowdfunding campaigns and to try and understand which were the success factors and the obstacles that they had to face? Are you aware of the fact that people nowadays receive hundreds of inputs and that your project has to "stand out from the crowd" and to stimulate more interest than other projects that deal with the same topics?
Finally: If you were to come across your project, would you be ready to donate? If the answer is yes... well, then you're all set and ready to go!
Before clicking on the "Submit a Project" button, take a look at the main points highlighted below and make sure to have carefully considered them before you get started. It is one safe way to make your project as good as it can possibly be!
Some useful tips

- A good knowledge of your "market" is fundamental: which one is it? Is your idea interesting enough to catch the "crowd"? What can you show them already? Which are the specific elements in your project that will capture the crowd's interest? What makes your project different from the others? Finally, could you present your project in a two-minutes pitch in a clear, easy to understand way?
- Success of a project is always a matter of team-work, partnerships and sponsors. Who are they? For which tasks can you count on them, and to what extent? Will they be able to disseminate your project or provide a first round of financial support? What do you expect of them, and how can they help and advise you? Have you thought of asking them for advise on the project itself and/or on its presentation?
- Have you carefully thought about the amount you have set as your target goal? Have you identified the costs you will have to bear for the rewards you are offering, their delivery, marketing, etc.? Have you informed your target audience about the timing and the mode of rewards delivery? Have you thought about the financial repercussions of a non-successful campaign?
- Are you aware of the fact that a crowdfunding campaign is not exactly a walk in the park? Having in mind a nice, well presented project is not sufficient: you should think beforehand about how you will make the campaign interesting, how you will create some "buzz" around it, how you might go viral on social media and how you can best take advantage of sponsors and partners' websites. What will you do if the campaign doesn't take off as expected during the first days? How will you re-launch it and make it more appealing?
- What makes your rewards original and appealing for your supporters? Are they closely related to the project and in good balance with the foreseen amount of the donation? Will you be able to produce them and fulfill expectation about delivery quality and timing?
- The name of your project, its acronym, your pitch, the video, the pictures... Have you tested, reviewed, edited them already? Are they easy to understand, withouth any sort of mistakes, perfect, more than perfect, absolutely great? Are you satisfied with the final outcome? How would you rate them on a scale from 0 to 10? Could you possibly do any better?
